The end of 2929 with the J/24 roundabout smashing the fleet in the HYC Gaboon race.

2017 J/24 Racing is available in the Southern Chesapeake Bay

In 2017 the J/24 fleet 71 is promoting one design sailing. The J/24 is a great platform to learn and hone your sailing skills.  the boat is strong and sails well.  It is a performance sailboat for the masses that can be a stepping stone to faster more high performance boats or a boat that is sailed for a life time.  See the 2017 Schedule for opportunities.

Fall CCV 4 concludes the CCV season

Again the J24s terrorized the CCV PHRF C fleet in Hampton VA.  On Sunday October 6th, while the start was delayed to accommodate the Hampton Crab Crawl half marathon that included Bridge Street as part of the course, three J/24s showed up for  racing on Hampton Flats.  With very light air, a course was set  toward the southwest.  Roundabout led at the  windward mark with Mizzmo close behind and current ebbing hard.  In a conservative move, roundabout  sailed  north to be positioned above the finish line while Mizzmo and the rest of the fleet stayed south. With sea breezing trying to fill in, Mizzmo and Rocket J were able to sail to the fish line as the wind  filled in to roundabout.  The resulting finsish resulted in a 4 way tie for first place for the series.

roundabout (J/24) 1-5
Rocket J (J/24) 2-4
Spray (Olsen 25) 4-2
The Hunter (Hunter 26) 3-3
Mizzmo (J/24) 6-1

Let’s go racing
